Subspec's latest is a transmission from the alien life form known as Cysxe and its (his?) EP SS33. This EP explores the deep and cavernous. The first and title track 'SS33' is built around a simple groove that morphs over time with skittering rhythms and tight lo-res frequencies that shift and merge as the track progresses. This is mind-trap, wormhole Techno for the headiest bass bin jackers. 'Cabron' dials up the urgency while delivering more dark, angular Techno in a similar vein.. the blanket of bass that was 'SS33' gives way to the sharper pulse of monochromatic rhythms in 'Cabron.' The EP closes with the 21 minute field of ambience 'Aer' a perfect architecture of frequencies and atmospheres to elicit a sense of stasis and inertia in frozen motion, the moment between inaction and action with the application of a splash of energy.
About the artist, Cysxe (aka Van Czar):
Cysxe comes from a very distant Planet millions of light years away where the hard weather conditions make the day hot with metals melting into fluids and the night becomes freezing. All the atmosphere is heavy and some communities live surrounded by the sounds of music similar to what we know here as TECHNO.
One day Cysxe came to visit the Earth on holidays and he discovered the beats and rhythms of Terrestrial music and he played TECHNO to recall his far distant land. Cysxe is Van Czar abduced, a path full of energy and darkness with a strong techno style.
