Norwich based producer, Scotty.A, from the East Anglia region, has provided a sustained assault on the underground dance scene with impressive regularity and consistency. Gaining considerable notoriety by winning the Denis A "Heroin" remix competition for DAR in 2011, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo became immediate fans of a distinctive style that has continued to breed success with every subsequent release. A regular around the clubs of Europe and beyond with a distinctive blend of taste and precision, Scotty.A has seen his production work hit the heights with Balkan Connection, Axon and ARVA.
A regular on Proton Music with multiple original EPs and remixes from no lesser lights than Oliver Lieb and Dousk, 2015 ushers in an evolving production style for the British artist as he develops a deep and tech house sound perfectly illustrated by August 2015's "Touching The Void" EP for Proton. Remixing Soulwerk, Scotty.A has taken the original elements from "Chimera" and turned them into a pulsating, brooding, deep house monster that references old school influences with vocal cuts and house chords. Finding itself perfectly in tune with the modern underground scene with its subtle evolving melodies and intricate percussion, it has dance floor delight writ large.
Stas Drive, from the hotbed of talent that is modern Ukraine, is a man with vast experience and a production knowledge that is second to none. A man who has "absorbed the best of deep house, techno and progressive music", his work is a regular component of DJ glitterati playlists from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren to Guy J and Guy Mantzur. A recognised DJ and promoter, events across the globe have further provided Stas Drive with the opportunity to play at the infamous Kazantip festival among others.
A collection of production credits since 2012's debut on Balkan Connection has seen a score of credits allied to the highly successful imprint, while DAR, Hope and upcoming releases on Sudbeat, Noir and Crosstown Rebels have continued to illustrate exactly why Stas Drive's sound is continually sought after.
Making his debut for Proton Music, the Stas Drive remix of "Spiritcatcher" takes the title track and spins a hypnotic beats-laden web that transcends into a wondrous melodic journey, full of components that made Soulwerk's original so impressive and extending them with an assortment of additional production material and cavernous bass line.
Remixes from Scotty.A and Stas Drive have provided spirited reworkings of Soulwerk and his "Spiritcatcher" EP.
