With fundamental techno percussion exploring a more organic side to moving furiously through the gears, Andy’s latest collaboration with gifted new dj/producer Clinton Brown is the appropriately titled “Solidarity”.
“Solidarity” with both original and dub mixes, utilizes Chatterley’s powerful sonic elements, fx’s and momentum building, rung out through a classic up-tempo techno arrangement. The hip shaking groove in the percussion allows the synthetic LFO elements to twist and morph in an almost effortless cosmic approach under Chatterley’s lacquer of quality.
The identifiable exceptionally sharp drums provide just enough mechanical anchored feel for the hook and break to build and ignite, although careful not to overshadow the loose tribal groove. With all things rigid left to one side, the congas and afro-drums happily flow along as if oblivious and completely unconcerned by the violent onslaught of ascending tension that’s about to take place, but join in perfectly to maintain the intense energy.
“Solidarity” is a rising take-off of techno elements, with a refreshing in-flight groove and plenty of important legroom.
