This new conceptual various artist ep is designed to showcase artists on a moderate platform without the excessive track listing usually associated to VA type albums. We have restricted the EP to only 4 tracks from different artists to allow a manageable amount of music to digest and enjoy.
The artists featured on these showcases maybe be familiar names from the "Se-Lek-Music" label and in some instances not, however one of the main focuses of "Se-lek" as a label was to work with progression and continuity of artists. Established artists and names will always be part of our picture but we are also concerned about the future stars of our scene and this is a fitting way to introduce that.
First of the featured tracks is by "Marseille" based artist "Med In Mars". His current featured track on our ADE album has certainly been received well along side his remix of "Alexander Madness & Alex Nemec" and it's no surprise that it's another quality affair. The track is a real cross merge of Tech House, Techno with a hint of progressive influences. It carries a vocal snippet regarding the future and the present making it very fitting for this EP.
Argentinian "Louie Le Fink" returns to us with another super house infused masterwork. "Louie" like many of the Se-Lek artist certainly has his own signature with his very own unique blend of house and Tech House that could only be him. This one certainly continues from is ADE feature with that crisp shuffle hi hat sound that's dam groovy. There's an element of acid featured in this one and also some futuristic synth work.
Next "Kiz Pattison" features with another one of his deep minimal techno driven workouts. "Kiz" has certainly been making a mark of his own, not only by developing his own sound but also being very consistent. This is one of his deeper moments with softer drums whilst the hypnotic overlays really do the work, pulling you into a transient affair.
Quite new to the "Se-Lek stable is the "Slovenia" duo of "Alexander Madness & Alec Nemec" who are currently gaining on rotation with their forthcoming techno single "A Different Night". Similar to "A Different Night" this track titled "Tronik" is quite a chunky molded groove with lots of purpose. It's a bit more on the tech house side than the prior but really sets its own pace with a good element of funk and bounce.
