Since it's inception 5 years ago, the Arms & Legs label has served up some seriously solid tech and deep house with Kristin Velvet making some sterling contributions. Her latest Roulette EP is another great example, boasting two floor-friendly rollers that pack some serious punch. Title track 'Roulette' with its hypnotic base line and french vocal samples will sit perfectly next to just about everything. The remix of Harry Axt's 2008 minimal classic 'Der Papageientaucher' follows, Velvet adds a hint of house through its punchy bass tones and relatively more slamming beats making it a perfectly trippy peak-time stomper. Both have been doing the business in the sets of label chief Daniel Steinberg recently with great results. This is a big'un - not to be missed.
