Reflective Part 3 is the next chapter in our ongoing adventure: a series of co-creations born from the exchange of ideas and inspirations, and an exploration of the interplay and ricochet that ensues. Each track has a rich story of collaboration, as ideas bounce back and forth to form these customized versions, remixes, edits, and re-imaginations. Up first is a slow motion recreation of FSOSF, a track I wrote with my dear friend Max in 2006; messing with guitar FX, whale sounds, and beautiful melodies - all centered around the concept that "you have the power to change things", which you do! :) .Track 2 is a mega-banger written with my long-time buddy Jantsen. After creating the beats, we brought in UK grime MC RD, who wrote some powerful, menacing bars about the wobbling weight of our favorite frequency. The third track was originally a remix of "I'm Up", and then Gnar Gnar and I got carried away and turned it into a brand new song. We teamed up with Reeps One, and in the process of recording some wildstlye beatboxing, we wrote this little verse - some kind of mad godzilla rap, I don't know. We decided to include his warmups as the intro, just to share that moment with your eardrums. Next up is a tune dedicated to dark, underground warehouse hot-boxes: Conrank and I reached out to Illaman for some vocals and he brought his grandfather along to record some Jamaican dubplate vibes at the end - also sampled is a sermon from Cowboy Ras Ranger about how every sound is special and sacred, with infinite potential, yet also totally ephemeral. The following track is a deep hypnotic roller, remixing a beautiful song by?Rusko?with vocals by Skyler Stonestreet about how high the music makes us feel. You know we love it.. Next is a feel good song about hopping aboard The Mothership and riding away on an adventure: teaming up with the musical duo Vindata and sampling vocals by Aima The Dreamer, this song is dedicated to having F.U.N. and just enjoying life. The last piece is a remix of the Naux Faux tune "Enchanted", with sampled vocals from AshEL SeaSunZ. "old school, new school, and combine the two" - a perfect phrase to summarize my approach to this track, and this collection in general. Viva Reflections! Thanks to our amazing community, our team, and all friends & collaborators everywhere :)
