Kicking off a brand new series for 2008 are a very special selection of digital exclusive remixes of back catalogue tracks. Re:Connect Re:Works will be an ongoing series of releases specially aimed at the digital market, and will contain a selection of your favourite Re:Connect tracks remixed and brought bang up to date by a range of our favourite producers.

First up is a double helping of Liz Melody, featuring one of her own singles, and her collaboration with label boss High Eight.

Forget U was only out in it’s original form mid 2007, but this stunning remix from Nuboy (whose previous work includes releases on the Stanton Warriors’ Beats label, and Future Funk Squad’s En:Vision Recordings). He takes the original vocal, and basically chops the crap out of it, adding driving tech-funk beats, soaring synths and an acid line that’ll make you drool.

Also included here is an awesome electro-house take on Liz’s collaboration with High Eight, from back in 2006. “Rock My World” is ripped apart and reassembled here by Bobby Lorenz & Kristoph (of D. Ramirez’s label Slave Recordings). Adding their trademark 4x4 beats, bubbling bassline and just the right amount of vocal, this one is 100% tried and tested on the dancefloors and is sure to rock the crowd. For those not happy with the small amount of cut up vox in this one, there’s also a handy instrumental.
