Get Physical proudly presents Someone Else. Our very first release of 2012 comes from our beloved friend from Philadelphia with a solid 4 track EP featuring remixes by M.in and David Keno. This EP is his first solo release on Get Physical and we all look forward to a long lasting friendship.
Someone Else brings us his interpretation of modern Tech House with 'Pillowface', the main track of the EP. It starts with a tight bass drum and a funky bassline and shortly morphs into a fine peak-time monster with far-out samples and twirling drum patterns. Always with an eye on the dancefloor, Someone Else knows for sure how to make you dance all night long.
M.in's 'Deep Remix' of Pillowface is slightly different. Smooth keys, classy drums and a funky synth played by Chriss Vogt are the main elements of his remix. It starts slow and gets very jazzy in the end. This work shows once again M.in's versatility.
The Funk version of M.in's remix is more focused on the keys. What his first mix misses, this version brings head on. A superb backup for special situations.
David Keno shows his talent as usual. His remix is pretty diverse and truly an after hour weapon, while more concentrated on the essentials. He plays with sizzling hats and the sound scape creates a moody but cushy atmosphere.
