With roots in Bogota, Colombia, now based in Miami, Archila has groove and soul pumping through his veins. As an established producer he has managed to carve out his own sound and unique take on the tech house and minimal styles. His impressive discography spans the length and breadth of the genre and his music has been released by the who’s who of labels in this realm; Be One, Little Helpers, Baile Musik and many more. Here is is joined by his friend, newcomer Bryan Sanchez. Together the pair have whipped up a tasty three track EP guaranteed to satisfy the rapidly expanding DPE fanbase.
On the title track, ‘Peace On Wax’, the pair have curated a groove-laden journey through sound full of energy and mystique. A warm but thunderous kick is paired with bouncy grooving sub to ensure the club is filled with a solid dose of low frequency energy. Intricate percusion rides effortlessly atop the groove as deep analogue synths and sparingly placed vocals play their parts to perfection.
Up next is the boldly titled cut, ‘Do It’, which takes a tech house direction with a forceful beat, pushing bassline, upbeat percussion and pounding drum fills. A sparkling arpeggio riff sits tucked into the background and provides energy and atmosphere that is backed up by spine tingling effects and tripped out delay flurys.
