GENERATION BASS presents: ELONIOUS - \"Over Tones\" EP! In their continuing struggle for the global acceptance of one of the most interesting musical developments since years, Moombahton, the award winning global dance music blog Generation Bass presents a new EP by Elonious. Elonious (real name: Elon Sharar), is an up and coming electronic music artist based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He began developing an appreciation for sound crafting through playing piano at a very young age. At the age of 20, Sharer took his musical skills to the next level by beginning to compose and produce his own music utilizing audio software. At first, he leaned more towards jazzy and cinematic styles, but later began to develop other forms of electronic music, releasing stuff on famed Nueva Cumbia label Cabeza as well as perfecting his skills in playing new musical instruments. Slowly mastering the art of DJ-ing as well, he gained experience in running two local favorite after hours venues in Vancouver. For the past couple of years, Elonious has directed his focus towards the Moombahton genre, and has started blending his own global music influences rhythmically in there as well. The forthcoming EP is a rich package of styles and blends within the Moombahton genre, ranging from all out blasting Moombahcore wobbles in the opener “Hydra VIP” to the electro funk oriented “To Show You” and the lush melodies of “Away In Silk” and “Move Your Soul”. Elonious proves to be a versatile producer, creating a perfect blend of hard hitting dance floor vibes and soulful melodies. He has supported the likes of Skrillex, Benga, Knife Party and Heartbreak this last year on stage, and you can easily hear the full range of his work in that diverse list of influences. Of course Elon adds a healthy dose of South American rhythms and percussion to keep everything in motion and focuses his musical energy on your lower backside. This EP is a mighty 10 cuts deep and a must have for anyone that wants to stay ahead of the pack. Keep your eyes and ears on Elonious, as he is definitely one of the kids that will explode into the big time sooner or later...
