Some of you might know Malente from recent releases like 'I Like It' (2009) on Fool's Gold, 'Crusaders' (2012) on Defected or 'Gipsy Kings' or 'Habibi' (2010) on Exploited, some as head of his label No Brainer Records. But there was a Malente before this Malente and funny thing is: Most of you - those who are old enough - know that Malente too. You just don't know you do. To refresh your memory we remaster and overhaul Malente's first albums which are not available digitally yet. Starting with 'The Spirit Of Malente' last year we now bring you his second album 'No Risk No Funk' originally put out 2002. Where the original album holds twelve tracks, the completely remastered 10 Year Anniversary Edition features over twenty. It contains tons of stuff that didn't make it on the album back then and of course all the club hits like 'We Came To Party', 'Funk the Rich', The Fever', 'Don't Stop' or 'Till I Die'. When you listen to that album today you'll realize that what Malente does in 2012 is completely different music, but strongly connected to his early work. We not only dug thru the archives for outtakes, but also remodeled the whole tracklist to integrate the additional tracks properly and keep the flow of the album. We made this shine for 2012 so you can fully experience 'No Risk No Funk'. A must have for fans? Yes. But even if you never heard of Malente this is something for you if you dig funky dance music.
