The Original Mix offers a look deep into the techno underground with a fascinatingly minimal slice. Big chunky kick drums and a pumping bass are the main players that give us a real deep feeling. Minimal percussions keep us intrigued as haunting vocals sweep through the sound. A powerful cut that will most definitely attract the attention of many.
Amsterdam based Zoe Xenia debuts on CZ with a fantastic double remix. Zoe Xenia's music is marked by a distinct hybrid of funk fuelled beats, melodic chords and rolling basslines, married in harmony with her soulful voice, both as a lead vocal and as an instrument itself. She is responsible for a string of top notch cuts over the years and her music enjoys support from the likes of RadioSlave, Luciano, Laurent Garnier and Joris Voorn to name just a few. She has graced many labels including Plastic City, Suara, Kling Klong, Freude Am Tanzen, BassCulture, Pacha, Tronic Soundz, Toolroom and Connaisseur as well as gracing the decks at many top parties across Europe and beyond. A highly respected artist on the circuit, we're delighted to have her on board at CZ. On the remix here Zoe dishes out a sublime, deep techno effort that will get the booty's on the floor no doubt. Punchy kick drums and cool percussion patterns settle into a steady flowing rhythm as a probing bassline rises up tying the arrangement together beautifully. Haunting vocals litter the sound and add character to the track making this a definite must have.
Check out Zoe's Dub Remix that strips out the vocals leaving a powerful underground techno joint.
