Both holding a deep rooted history in electronic music and the Athens club scene the two now run Rhythmetic and have released groundbreaking tracks from names like Argy, Sasse, and Nick Curly. Their passion for providing top quality music has extended to their own productions with careers spanning decades. They have recently released on major labels like Crosstown Rebels, Moodmusic, and Souvenir Music. Now collaborating together and with the vocal talents of Benji, the team brings a tasteful dose of musical genius with their Missionary / Dybbuk EP.
Thodoris Triantafillou cracks open the pack with a sling-backed bit of slick house music. Missionary pours tightly grooved beat. Darker disco bass and strings implore a sophisticated tempo as Benjis smoky vocals lend to the tracks already menacing character. The stripped down dub mix from CJ Jeff, does not let up on low hitting vibes as its ability to be heard on a club system is that of a true blessing. Finally all three minds come together to bring a bit of jacking energy as Dybbuks stomping chords and kick dance over a bouncing bass. Adding a bit of spice to the mix, melodic keys and splashes of Benjis vocal tie up the tune with a bow of glitched out dance floor energy.
With the label reaching its 28th release, the two have proved sustainability and recognition over years of releases. Clearly their most recent effort has proven to be another stroke of production solidity. As new names to mark for the coming seasons, both Thodoris Triantafillou and Cj Jeff see themselves reaching higher peaks of quality impressions in the electronic community. In this case they reach another peak of success and prove once more that two heads are better than one.
