I was in a giant tour van somewhere in some place absolutely dying of a hangover when Calum 'Slimes' Gunn let me hear an unfinished track called Melted which blew me away. It was throbbing, shuffling, detuned and bordering on hilarious. It's been a firm fixture in our sets ever since. It's what I imagined will be played at illegal cocktail parties when the internet is shut down and prohibition comes back around in 2020: it's swinging, booming and quirky.
Baby Diego, fresh from remixing Aussie new-comers (and ex-Operator Please members) Colour Coding is first to dice it up, ironing out the shuffles and laying on 2 parts deep-house to 1 part early 2000's Timbo. Next is Claude Speeed, another Scottish native from the LuckyMe collective (HudMo, Rustie etc.), he's ramped up the speeed (eh? ..eh?) to a frantic and slick Chicago footwork bomb.
