Krueger returns with the Marbled EP for his second release on the Silverback imprint. The Philadelphia-born, Chicago-based producer delivers shrewd club material constructed between the cracks of grime, ghettotech, rap et cetera. Opener "Turnin'" blends sleek vocal cuts, febrile percussion and percolating bass slabs, while syncopated rhythms get fused with a sizzling acid pulse on "Jungle Walk". "Dark Walk", a fierce and ominous drum tool, tightens the tendons and serves as the third and final original cut on the EP. On the remix side, Victoria Kim deftly inject "Turnin'" with a dose of their signature ballroom meets K-pop flair, whereas Taskforce lends his debonair gloomy touch to "Dark Walk" for a poignant yet slick techno workout.
