Michel de Hey is a true pioneer - someone who remains able to elevate and inspire audiences with every release or gig. His services to the cause of House and Techno over the last decades is hard to overstate - and one look at his impressive discography confirms the fact. Luckily for us, he shows no sign of letting up and here delivers another true mission statement via Poker Flat.

The 'Look at Luf' EP kicks of with 'Need You So Bad' - a tough and slightly twisted tech house burner that will set fire to many dance floors this year. Like in 'Look At Me' Michel's vocals spice up the tune.

'Of Luf' is up next - slight detuned bass notes start the track off in a wonky direction that continues throughout - precision percussion and sparkling melodic washes keep things moving - an underground bomb in the making.

'Look At Me' leans a little closer to the techno side of things, but retains de Hey's affinity for the funk. A cut up vocal sits perfectly in the arrangement, while stabs and swells bring the drama.

'No Rose' closes out the release in fine style - de Hey's natural grasp of rhythmic nuance is paired with a euphoric, Ibiza-esque top line that will be as at home in the summer open airs as the sweaty basement.
