Last year Jan van Lier and Luke Mandala broke down the doors to the club with the monster-sized track "Sasquatch". Its pounding beats and menacing bassline reverberated all around the world, and a stellar remix from the Z-Listers carried the track squarely into the charts at Beatport, staying there for well over a month. This year the boys are back with another legendary monster "Leviathan".
The Leviathan was a giant-sized sea monster that caused mayhem and wreaked havoc wherever it went. Similarly "Leviathan" is a monster-sized club tune that will be sure to wreak havoc on any dancefloor it's played on. From the unassuming intro you might think everything is OK, but when the bassline hits, you know something big is coming. By the time the breakdown is done, the entire dancefloor is at the DJ's disposal, heeding their every whim.
Luke Mandala and Jan van Lier are two fast-growing US-based producers, and are part of the new wave of American producers taking the club world by storm. With tracks like this it's easy to see why. Luke has been hard at work this past year on his Activated Recordings label, putting out stellar releases with remixes from the likes of Kriece and Tony Thomas, as well as remixing tracks for Kindred Sounds, Ambiosphere Recordings, Slanted House and more. Jan van Lier has made a name for himself in the past year DJing with John Acquaviva and Olivier Giacomotto, and becoming one of the core producers of the Definitive Recordings family, as well as releasing killer tracks and remixes for labels like Teggno, Open Bar Music, and Nuhar.
Remixes on this package come from Phidelity, Remembrance, and Portland-based Jon Cates & DPL, who have also been making the world take note with their amazing productions and remixes. This Summer, don't sleep on Leviathan, or it will come after you!
