Before sync buttons, Ableton 'Live' sets, Vengeance sample packs and downloadable template tracks there were so-called 'real' DJs and producers. These DJs regularly clanged mixes in the club, on the radio, on festival stages (yacht parties weren't a thing back then) and the producers, well... let's say Native Instruments' Massive and over-quantisation wasn't really part of the vocab.
When we first heard the music of Leeds-based duo, Bang Tidy, our ears were treated to a trip down memory lane, courtesy of these old-skool, Chicago influenced jackers. A couple of trips to the boozer later and it was clear that the Bang Tidy boys were cut from the same cloth as our roster... as well as their sound perfectly complimenting the housier end of our 'strictly heavy business' policy.
Please enjoy these tracks in the club, in your car... preferably not just through your shitty white Apple earbuds, ok? Windows down, collars up... it's time to jack.
