On Layers Of Bridges the artist presents a set of multi-dimensional, sculptural landscapes, cut to exactly the same size. The listener is invited to leave behind the normatively fixed and experience fresh openings and future shapes as they tentatively take presence. Buried inside the album's formidable sonic makeup are harmonies that at first impression may challenge and provoke - but it turns out that things silent and profound hide in the chaotic mixture of multi-layered sound.
Jonas Kasper Jensen's compositions is an integrated aspect of his artistic praxis. Sound and physical material are inseparable to him and he perceives and composes in sound in what can be likened to a sculptural collage that changes form as a consequence of the listener's readiness.
Jakob Emdal made the cover art especially for the release. Jakob works primarily with photography and his images has had a strong inspiration on the sound of Layers of Bridges.
