Its not every DJ who is tipped for great things by the bible of electronic music, and certainly not every DJ who follows through on such an accolade with the ardor that Tim Green has. In that very short space of time since his award for DJ Mags Best Breakthrough Producer in 2010, Tim has proved his mettle with a fearless intensity that has propelled him into the upper ranks of the techno hierarchy. Now a globe-trotting sensation in his own right, its time for the young Londoner to broaden his strokes with a new venture and today he announces the launch of his crisp new imprint, Disc Over. Neoteric in concept, Disc Over is an exciting stage from which Tim will unleash some of his most colourful musical creations, elevating the quintessentially divergent roots of Tims music to new heights. The label will afford him the opportunity to be considerably more diverse in his musical output, showcasing a meticulously curated selection of work from up-and-comers and, of course, his peers. An extension of Tims personality and current tastes, Disc Over promises to be a sound foundation for forward-thinking music. This is what Tim had to say about his new project. My main reason for starting Disc Over is to give myself and others a solid platform to release new and interesting electronic music. It's aimed to be an extension to whatever sound or style that I am into, as an added reflection on my current tastes in music. Especially releasing music from a lot of new talent and good close friends, as well as music from myself that may not always fit into other labels sound or direction. Kicking it all off with two original tracks, Tims Just People' and 'Monomania' will feature two amazing remixes from Timo Mass and My Favourite Robot making this a stunning debut release package for Disc Over. Other artists to feature on the label will consist of Luca Lozano and Mr.Ho, and T.W.I.C.E. Continuing in true Tim Green tradition, the label launch party is looking pretty special with Innervisions Recordings boss Dixon taking the helm. The party will be held at The Tunnel in Kent, an old Napoleonic Fortress that will be transformed into a club for the evening. Also, joining Tim will be Luca Lozano and Mr.Ho, who we are certain, will become a firm favourite at Disc Over. Tim will be playing a special live set on the night, which he will be debuting on August 25th at SW4 in London.
