  • Description Batty Bass returns with the final part of the label's New York trilogy The Ride Committee featuring Roxy - Guess Who The uniquely HOUSE double act of The Ride Committee (AKA legendary house producer Mr. Louis Balo) and the distinctive sounds of vocalist Roxy are making a dramatic return to dancefloors courtesy of London's Batty Bass. Throughout the '90s the pair scored some serious underground hits, 'Love To Do It' 'Get Huh', on the much feted Tribal America imprint which gained anthemic status thanks to huge support from Junior Vasquez and Danny Tenaglia. The original "Boogie Balo" version is a classic bitch track that fuses Balo's peerless off-kilter production with Roxy's undeniably unrivaled vocal shade cooing from the musical swirl. This package comes with some serious remix action. Peace Division's Justin Drake flexes his considerable studio muscles for a very special re-touch of the track taking Roxy on a hypnotic ride into a groove-heavy affair that could be equally at home on the terrace of DC-10 as on New York ballrooms in the small hours. Fellow New Yorkers (and Batty Bass artists) The Carry Nation have turned Guess Who into an absolute dancefloor banger with their trademark high-octane peak-time reading of the track. Label Boss Hannah Holland has teamed up with her sometime DJ partner Dan Beaumont to produce a bumpy ride through Dalston's underground, with a heavy emphasis on an infectious rhythm section that fuses late night sounds of London and New York. (They have even served up a special beats version with a sprinkling of bonus vox) Finally Maria Dark has fused her NY dancefloor heritage with a modernist take on the track, combining tripped-out percussive touches with a techno-tinged soundscapes and a dark re-telling of Roxy's iconic vocal....
