'M KNOWLEDGE', a Russian talent from Samara City, class of 1989, lands on planet B.SOUL with his first album. 'From and To', composed of 10 moments of absolute eclecticism and a constant search for dissonant vibrations, which make up a musical journey in time, in history, in yesterday's and today's culture. The supporting sounds of this musical journey range far and wide.
Opening with 'Buy It' you can immediately notice a great Soul influence surrounded by a breakbeat environment.
'From and To' follows, from which the whole album takes it's title, which digs deeply into old-school sounds and then lengthens into a carpet of Blues vibes.
'Human', as the title itself says, represents the great peculiarity of a complex organism, like the human one, small electronic details, always flanked by electric guitar riffs that act as musical synapses.
'Mountain' brings the album back to a progressive dimension, linking flashes of House with tribal insights that lull an electronic flow.
'Samara', the birthplace of M Knowledge, is the artist's melancholy, pulling out it's most hidden pulses. 'Slates' opens the dance to a 1950s Chicago mood, interrupted by scratches that swing us across 40 years: historically and musically.
'Time' expresses the ephemeral beauty of time to the dot, is fleeting and dangerous, which at times stops and continues to flow inexorably.
'Tutor' is the electronic part of this album, based on pure analog frequencies.
'Up and Down' suggests a moment of reflection, opening and closing horizons with dissonant Pads.
The final track,'Jealousy', reminds us of how beautiful it is to love, to love music in all its forms, from Blues to Electronica, from Soul guitars to Drum Machines, always maintaining an impeccable elegance.
