Turning in 4 hot tracks encompassing his love for solid, warm beats and bass, mixed up with tricky, trippy elements of funk, acid and soul, Jay has really surpassed himself on this one...
Lead track 'Control' takes a funky, bouncing leap into stripped down nighttime action, casually blending tweaky minimal-acid with smooth deeper elements. Characterised by a looping, filtered synth hook, and subconscious-penetrating vocal samples, its a tasty ride into Jay's world.
'I Of The Pyramid' takes things down a fuller, percussive path as Jay lays it down deep and playful... A smooth, winding techy dub journey, full of lovely tape delay and heavy bass, it's rousing synth melodies open up the track to a surprisingly impact as the break drops!
A clear love for the old school is apparent in 'She Likes Mr Finger's Bass', as we see Jay lay down a jacking, sub-bass heavy cut that careers out of control with the introduction of the acid-reminiscent bass line. Heavy stuff indeed for those full-spectrum systems and indeed open-minded dancers.
To round things up 'Time Time' introduces yet another incredible groove as Jay tickles us with trippy synth textures, skipping percussion and psycho-kinetic vocal offerings... perhaps the most off the wall of the cuts here, we're sure its going to work the afterhours floors perfectly!
