The Empresarios released their second full length album El Sonido Magico in November 2012, further defining their Tropicaliente sound. Since then, they have been playing shows up and down the East Coast, gaining new fans and taking their sound on the road. After giving away a string of popular remixes and edits, they were dubbed The Kings of Remixes by Afropop Worldwide and were also featured on NPR, Urb Magazine and numerous blogs.Four of the tracks from the album were recently remixed by some of the hottest producers and the results are impressive. Label bosses Fort Knox Five flipped the script on Maria Juana, turning it into a future funk, glitch heavy Latin party anthem. Originally an ode to DC bucket funk, 7th Street Groove was reworked by Omegaman with some skanked out breakbeats and a dubby groove. Salsa de Gala is remixed by All Good Funk Alliance who include their signature high tech percussion sound with a Latin tinged Nu-Disco vibe. Rounding out the release, and taking you straight to the beaches of Baja are the dubbed out reggae meets latin swing vibes found on Basement Freaks Remix of Rey de Reyes. The El Sonido Magico Remixed EP is a collection of red hot tunes for DJs to drop all spring and summer. There is truly something for every party with sounds ranging from funk, glitch and house to breaks and dub. This package also includes remix instrumentals. The Empresarios Magic Sound has been reinvented and reimagined.
