From the birthplace of trap music emerges an homage to the area of Atlanta, Georgia that raised DJ & Producer, Dark Dred. EastSide, the producer's debut EP release on Freakstep Records, showcases his unique brand of bass music that explores the other side of Atlanta's trap music sound. The 4-track EP opens up with a drama filled, cinematic rise on "Totem" that sets the tone for the rest of the project: powerful and enigmatic. Giving way to the internationally assisted "NEON" featuring co-production from Japanese producer, PIPI, Dark Dred gives you even more of his avant-garde approach to bass music with an added hip-hop presence from female rapper, Pretty Gorda. EastSide continues on with the broodingly eerie, hard hitting "PsychoBabyl" that adds just a touch of darkness (and madness) to round out the progressive versatility. "FunLuv" ties in as the sunny, anthemic closer that eases the dynamic tension of the record, and brings the project to a lighthearted, positive finale. Offering up another side of ATL to be explored, EastSide is an offering of Atlanta's extremely versatile electronic dance music to the world.
