When DNYO was composing Colored People he told us he wanted to bring a happy feeling to the floors, making this tune unique and as once said, full of life. The Original Mix brings out lots of special effects and an arrangement focus on a melody that evolves onto a guitar that pulls away the main melody line, adding great expectations towards the breakdown, where tension grows, effects swirl around you until a great comeback of full melody and color. It's 8 minutes of a great combination of granular timbres and reverberation, glitches, stutters and an electric bass makes the groove a great combo that sees DNYO's signature sound come to life.
Kassey Voorn's Remix shows us something different. Altering the bass hook, Kassey has given his remix a total different vibe to Colored People. The mix becomes deeper and with more progressiveness to it. In addition to the bass hook melody change, Kassey gave the sound his own work of timbre, making the baseline come to it's full "electric life" as the track progresses through the use of DNYO's effects and glitches with an "altered" version of the main hook line, giving this mix a vibe of it's own. The breakdown is full on bass line, moody, building up effects and calling the guitar melody and it's best friend, the "altered main hook line" once more for a complete showcase of a talent and creativity, a booming remix on floor for progressive house djs and lovers.
The Part A of Colored People sees 2 very effective mixes for the dance floor, on one side, DNYO's cinematographic signature to electronic dance music, calls the djs, fans and lovers to a more fatter and dirtier sound, on the other side, Kassey delivers a progressive house remix with an oldschool feel great for building up sets and setting the mood on the dance floor!
The PART B with Dub Mix and Andre Sobota Remix will be released in april.
