Alex Wellmann delivers an impressive four tracker on his home label Roush this November. A rising talent to take note of, and now a core member of Roush's management roster, Alex Wellmann is the latest emerging talent to arise from Tenerife – the home of label founder and imprint boss Hector Couto. With further release on the likes of Mr. Nice Guy Records and Material Series, attentions are now turned back to Roush as he returns following a recent collaborative EP alongside Argentinian DJ and producer Spaniard Jay de Lys, delivering four fresh productions to form his 'Charlie! My Man' EP. Title track 'Charlie! My Man' sees Wellmann set the tone of the EP and opt for a series of rolling drums, sharp snare builds and hip-hop influenced vocal interjections, before 'Goodbye! Okey' utilises a layer of slick and crisp hats and further energy raising snare rolls to keep the energy levels high. 'No Disco' opens the second half of the EP, contrasting to the track title and unveiling funky disco-tinged stabs and hypnotic spoken word excerpts reinforced by tough, robust drum shots, whilst 'UK Out Here' rounds out proceedings through metallic, driving drum loops accented by ringing resonant sirens and bumping sub bass.
Alex Wellmann 'Charlie! My Man' is out on Roush on 2nd November 2018.
