An old Framus guitar, shimmery red hair, this wonderful voice and an unobtrusive but at the same time fascinating presence on stage.
Suzan Kocher is much more than just a singing girl with a guitar performing nice songs.
Deeply rooted in musical worlds so much older than herself the 21-year old singer-songwriter creates a web out of irresistible melodies that sound mystical and consoling with a bitter-sweet charme.
Her music connects psychy folk rock with dusty wild country and the melancholy of a Judee Sill without running blind into some traditions.
Her songs contain bristly sometimes fragiles guitars. Rumbling drums-tracks meet gloomy barock mellotrom orchestration and cembalos are joined by lap steel and e-guitars, that dance between twang and fuzz-sounds.
Suzan Kocher's lyrics describe dreamy pictures of lost souls or wild gangster stories between lost and new-found love. All this is sung with her memorable, unagitated voice connecting depth with lightness and giving her songs a very unique character.

Together with Blackberries- and Palace Fever head Julian Muller she recorded her first record, which will be released upcoming autumn via Unique Records.
During the last year she was part of the live band of Palace Fever where she shared stages with acts like Wanda, Ron Sexsmith, The Fratellis and The Sonics and where she performed her solo songs in front of a bigger audience. Also artists such as Dirk Darmstadter, Wild Feathers or Scott Matthew already invited Suzan as their support act.
Now it's definitely time for her first official release and her very first headliner-tour. This spring will see the release of Suzan Kocher's debut EP "Blood Red Wine" as a blood red 10" vinyl. Parallel to that she will perform several shows in clubs and on festivals. Keep the dates in mind and let yourself bewitched by Suzan Kocher.
