Steeve Vicari is a producer with a focus on warm and forward-thinking electronic music, blurring the lines between genres as diverse as house and techno. The two songs featured in Baobab are particularly interesting for their unique sonic qualities, which remind me of the old school glory days of the genres. Having said that, Steeve's music is far more than just a trip down Nostalgia lane. His songs are focused, powerful and appealing to a modern crowd. On the title track, Steeve builds amazing patters with awe-inspiring melodies and driving beats that help the song move along with lots of energy. The second track, Lisboa, is a track with a more textural and complex rhythm section: the beat is straight and direct, but the groove has shades of tropical / latin vibes, thanks to the beautiful percussion elements adding personality to the mix.
