Columbian music production duo Niclas Agudelo and Lonely Sun mark their Green Martian debut with the fantastic two tracker 'Aurora Storm'. The guys got together in 2013 and they both brought their own skills to the table. Nicolas Agudelo is one of Colombia's most promising electronic artists, his diverse, elaborate releases are supported by major DJ's as well as underground DJ's all around the world. Lonely Sun aka Daniel Cabrera is an emerging producer from Colombia. Daniel's love for electronic music started very early in his life while listening to 80s and 90s music, he found he was fascinated by the sounds of the synths and percussions that were proposed at the time. So he studied to become a DJ and also studied electronic music production.
'Aurora Storm' is up first and intros with a cool snappy kick and crisp hat combination as a stuttering bass note rolls through. A much richer bassline soon enters the fray as the track settles into a smooth progressive groove. Nice little melodies sit underneath the main sound while lush pads rise over the top. As the sound evolves we are treated to a really cool and mellow break until a grainy, old recording typoe vocal appears builds the track up again to that smooth progressive groove. Top notch stuff!
'Gossip' delivers a steadily rising progressive vibe as understated kicks and smooth percussions provide the intro. A bubbling bassline sits back and lets cool synths and warm pads take control of the sound. On the break a sweet melodic sequence takes over with the bass along for the ride before we are taken back into the main track with a subtle yet effective build up. Very smooth and epic journey and a must for any box.
