From a MacBook at home, to sitting next to Dave Clarke behind a big mixing desk soaking up technique, not too many up and coming techno producers have the opportunity to work in proper studios these days, where the trackpad isn't the main source of input. Mr. Jones is currently enjoying this opportunity. After being featured thirty times in a row on Mr Clarke's Whitenoise radio show, supplying fresh material every time, Jones got a message: "care to join me in the studio?" Since then the two have been working as Unsubscribe on remixes for Blackasteroid, John Foxx, Phil Kieran, Gesaffelstein, Detroit Grand Pubahs and are about to release their debut single on fabric offspring label Houndstooth. "Working with Mr. Jones in the studio is a breath of fresh air for me"- Dave Clarke If you listen to early releases by Mr. Jones on labels such as HeavyReel or iHart Digital and compare them to the upcoming release on The Public Stand you will hear there has been an exchange of knowledge. Don't be fooled though. Jones spent years creating his own library of sound, crafting his own technique and sonic signature. Add to that the bass heavy sorcery Jones picked up over the past year and you have a skill-set ready to hit clubbers in the lower intestines while their hands are in the air. Mr. Jones' solo work has already paid off, from getting performances at massive events like Awakenings and Mysteryland, to a club tour in Holland through April. If you want a taste of his ability, Rotterdam based label The Public Stand releases Mr. Jones' new track `Apogeum', a quaking monster that will stomp its way through the dancefloor. `Apogeum' is also taken in different directions by U.S. Droid man, Audio Injection and Amsterdams Tim Wolff. ...
