On his first outing for Guidance, Alton Miller displays his skill as a producer and a percussionist. Alton teams up with France's Chill Out Concept to create "Progressions"(available on "Hi-Fidelity House vol. II & "Copa Mundial Muzique" CD). Starting with a solo from the man himself, the percussion builds imperceptibly until Manu Lokole of C.O.C. joins in on the guitar. Alton twiddles and tweeks the effects and delays giving the track its dub feeling. An effort nothing short of breathless. The B-Side delivers the one two punch. Starting as a standard 4 on the Floor house track the listener soon realizes this has nothing common about it. Simple chords sustain the tracks as more and more percussion and a descending bassline close the deal. Like M.Doc said back in the day, "It's Percussion!"
