Joe Claussell remixes one of Ten Citys most beautiful records for Ibadans second release, setting the tone for one of NYCs most important House labels.
Byron Burke, Herb Lawson and Byron Stinglys super Deep House group Ten City were the most prolific artists at the dawn of Ibadan records. All Loved Out is one of their particularly less dance floor records, but shows their and Ibadans high standard for versatile music. These two versions see remixes from one of Jeromes premier partners in crime, Joaquin Joe Claussell.
All Loved Out (Extended Vocal Version), is an ode to Joes love of euphoric developing melodies. Two main aspects of this track the vocal and piano line get taken to new heights through an extended focus, allowing them to truly blossom. Here is a track that took several musicians to complete. Coordinating, motivating and finally mixing this all together is by today's standards no small feat, but that is why this record fills some pretty big shoes.
All Loved Out (Il Ife Love drum) starts off is a sensual seemingly orchestral composition, drifting almost nowhere near the shores of House or Electronic Music in general. However, as the title suggest the sound of a drum does come in, albeit way past the 5 minute mark and with a markedly organic and tribal feel, leaving only a slight remnants of how this beautiful piece of music began.
