Being born in South America allowed Phillip O to have a melting pot of influences of all kinds, in addition to his strong Latin heritage, which gets transposed through his DJ sets and productions in warmth, energy, groove and versatility. Phillip O's language -both in the Studio and in the DJ booth- is about Deep House, House, Techno and everything in between, keeping things fresh and underground.

His debut release on LS City Records is no exception to the clear path he his leading not only in South America but Worldwide too. He came to our attention with his official remix of The Egg - Walking Away on the mighty CR2 Records. Then after listening to his official smash remix of Fedde Le Grand also on CR2 we decided to make Phillip a permanent fixture here in our Leeds (UK) label.

The first track on the EP is 'Acid'. Bouncing tech house which just drives along effortlessly and is bound to keep them dance floors moving! Sexy drums that are very simple and stripped back which allows the maximum amount of bass through in one big bang. Whilst the bass grabs most of your attention there is an infectious trumpet driving the whole track along. A very mature production from a very young promising star.

Next up is 'El Corazon Del Mundos'. A refreshing tech house roller which is more based around the busy percussion and really cool male vocal. The pipe melodies and off beat stabs progress together and really work with the percussion groove. You can really start to see the confidence in Phillip's production. All the little effects and tricks just finish this track of nicely
