"An essential release from a unique artist" - Giles Peterson

"Do yourself a favour and get yourself some Wunmi now" - Danny Krivit

“A.L.A. is an afro-electric-house music masterpiece.... the beats are irresistable.. (before you realize it..you'll be a dancing fool!) and the lyrical content is rich and diverse.” – DJ Carlito

The London born daughter of Nigerian parents, Wunmi is known worldwide as an incredible dancer, singer and poet. She has performed with a wide variety of producers, creating a mix of African, Broken Beat and Soulful House vibes, with hints of the 70’s Fela Kuti sound. A.L.A., which stands for Africans Living Abroad, reflects and showcases this diverse background in music and dance.

This album’s producers are as wide-ranging as the music itself, with music from Wunmi’s longtime associates Alix Alvarez, Fauna Flash and Seiji of Bugz in the attic, and new collaborations with the Pasta Boys, Osunlade,Siji and Tony Nwachuku from Attica Blues.
