Forthcoming TEAM tomorrow release is granted to Latvian's best kept secret Kristaps Lagzdins under the moniker ' NGC-5128 '. He is responsible for the deepest TEAMtomorrow ep ever. On this very EP, you will experience him as someone whose inspired by things and ideas from different domains, where reality and fiction co-exist -- from actual abandoned factories to intergalactic space fantasies, from scientific theories to urban poetry. On top of this deep layered background story, Holland's finest female deep techno producer ESTROE adds her immense feel to Kristap's story.
A.1 Electric Sunshine - original mix First piece Electric Sunshine has brilliant delay spreading all around with gentle melodic elements. Somewhere deep, somewhere warm, a good afterparty tool
A.2 Electric Sunshine - ESTROE remix It would have been strange to not ask Estroe for a remix enhancement since the depth of her sounds matches perfectly with the sonic characteristics of our latvian boy. Estroe's remix implements a slight catchy groove but not excessively reshapes the total atmosphere of the original. It has a splendid summer smell to be introduced on an open air festival or...listen to it during a joyful ride?
A3. Steel Lovies [metaala lauskas] - original mix Again a well-produced track with a great depth. Slightly more uptempo then the fellow tracks which helps for a complete balanced EP. Old school feel can not be missed...
A4. Tas Rits Ar Tevi Makonsegas - original mix Hypnotizing bass line in a nice harmonic balance with string synths, percussives and fx usage. Kristaps shows his true magical skills in composing enduring electronic music, rather than a piece which will be consumed within a month of time.
Artists Info: NGC-5128
NGC-5128 is not just a galaxy in the constellation Centaurus A, but also an alias of Kristaps Lagzdins - an experienced electronic music producer, DJ and urban dreamer from Latvia. He has been known as a persistent and adventurous explorer of the techno soul for years. NGC-5128's music is futuristic, synthetic, yet melodic, owing much to Detroit's techno and tech-funk of the 90's. NGC-5128 is deeply involved in Latvian electronic music community, where he regularly performs at different clubs and events and actively promotes various electronic music events, like Techno Carnival. His tracks are included on some Latvian e-music compilations, and besides producing his own music he has done a handful of remixes. Apart from the local scene, NGC-5128 has performed in Finland, Russia and Lithuania, his track ""Xenoid Base"" was aired in the legendary John Peel's show on BBC Radio 1. Track ""The Gardens Of Mechanical Dreamscapes"" was played by british techno guru Mark EG during his kicking Blackout Audio radio show on Megapolis FM (Moscow) . Soon ""Cyan Colony EP"" was released by Romanian netlabel Exposed (www.exposedaudio.org) and in 2007, after success in the remix contest of Secret Cinema's track ""Water Gruv"", his remix got release on Holland's Team Records digital sublabel TeamTomorrow . Currently Kris has moved to London for audio engineering studies and actively works on remixes and new material at his home studio located in Brixton area.
