Aethereal is proud to welcome Sergei Spatz to its roster in its 13th release, titled 5.00 Am, album which features five original atmospheric tracks. After previously releasing on BQ Recordings, ADRO Records, Inmost Records, Old SQL Recordings, and most notably Aethereals sister label, Abstract Space Records, Sergei is poised to become a household name in the progressive scene. In the flagship of the release, 5.00 Am is a futuristic mash up of spacey pads and hand percussion that floats peacefully in zero G watching a chaotic world rush by. Second out of the gate, Azure masterfully mixes delicate pad lines and effects over a massive kick. Memory wastes no time in dropping a deep, rumbling bass hum under an intricate web of otherworldly sound effects that never stop building from the start to the end of the track. Switching up the tempo, Shot features a synthesizer melody that ceaselessly slides in and around reverbed phaser hits and vocal stabs. Finishing out the release, Skyline heralds a new day in the progressive world with an almost hopeful sounding echoed lead that perfectly offsets an ominous droning bass.
