Playground Music thumps back into action with their 3rd release with the intense, uncompromising and bludgeoning bass assault of French producer Matt Waro and his university classmate, VeK's "Murderer." The pair's unflinching collaboration is full of unbridled energy, raw power and unrelenting ferocity. Combining house, trap, dub, techno and electro, the track has a frenetic pace but constantly evolving aesthetic. "Murderer" kicks off wall shaking 4/4s, grumbling bass and snapping 808 machines. Dub ghetto vocals inject more attitude and swagger before the bass swells to breaking point and rapid-firing synths crash through the bottom end and wreak their havoc on the track. The basslines are heavy, low-slung and momentum-driving, shifting the track into surging monster of a club bomb that slithers beneath the hectic cauldron of synths and FX. Determined, dogged and fierce right to the last, "Murderer" is as explosive as it is addictive.
