I have always been a big fan of Third Sons great talents for writing experimental music. Every time he sends me new music its exciting to dive into his sound-scape, always full of artistry and nice little surprises you werent expecting as is the case here. On the Tribute EP release you get 2 extra-ordinary tracks that have been really doing some damage on the floor during both Joseph's (Third Son), and my sets recently.
Tribute is the more instant of the package. The huge bassline carries the track with a very cool layer of random notes running up and down its spine. This is the kinda thing that makes Third Son stand out from the rest. Those wicked production ideas that are perfectly executed. Milsom is a powerful and hypnotic journey that captivated me from the very first listen and i just love the way the arp pattern starts running during the breakdown. The arrangement of this track is a bit more quirky than on Tribute but thats part of why it works and sounds so special.
I hope you can dive into the music and love these Third Son tracks as much as I do.
