Skirting the fringes of electronica and techno, the music of Berlin-based producer, Grun Glas, is an experiment in controlled entropy - with a sweet-tooth for a saccharine pop melody. Having released single 'Border' in 2017, closely followed by well received EPs 'Rust' and 'Poison/Polyester,' he has spent 2018 recording new material in Thailand and in his Berlin studio. Now he's finally ready to release his much anticipated new single, 'Void,' on September 21st.
After becoming fascinated by the phenomena of people compulsively wanting to jump from buildings at a great height, Grun Glas began composing 'Void' back in 2012. However, due to the material becoming too complex, it was shelved. It wasn't until he revisited the track last year that he realised that it contained a lot of great ideas. Over the past couple of months, Grun Glas began meditatively clarifying and reducing it until it became something he was happy with.
Now, 6 years in the making, he's excited to share 'Void' with the world. The single will mark the first in a series of exciting releases for the producer who's also preparing for a couple of live-shows. Having been interviewed by Electronic Groove, Grun Glas' previous single 'Rust' premiered on Data Transmission, and was featured on the-monitors. He's since remixed Let's Go Dancing by KILNAMANA, been featured on Lockd.Tv and whatpeopleplay and acquired more synthesizers then he knows what to do with.
