I had the pleasure of meeting Dillard in the middle of nowhere in Portugal, somewhere near the Spanish border. It was crazy-hot, there was dust everywhere and we were surrounded by thousands of people, all here for a huge festival. We were billed to play the same stage and I got the privilege of experiencing the power of his music first-hand. Deep and powerful, experimental in places but full of good vibes and feeling. His style is unmistakably accomplished and his EP for Cut has delivered two outstanding deep dubstep pieces alongside an ambient number. Having been producing for years now, pushing some of the deepest dubstep and downtempo around, Dillard has built a steady stream of fans across a range of releases on labels and outlets like Chord Marauders, Sub Audio, Fatkidonfire, Foundation Audio, Deepheads and more. His arrival on Cut is well over-due, and I'm glad we are able to bring you some of his wonderful work.
