Yellus is the result from a long and growing love for the mystery in sounds and how they're combined to make music. It's your cassette collection brought back from the dry cleaning with just the amount of dirt left to still be charming. The music tries to be an instant affect on your body and mind, an instant love for a sound, a constant rhythm or a cheerful melody. With body moving rhythms, melancholic melodies and mind screwing squeaky sounds Yellus presents himself to the world.
Kinein EP is the story of six different journeys or movements. Each track on the EP is an invitation to the individual listener to travel along. Some tracks are long and flat walks; others are hikes in rocky mountains. Journeys can be voluntary or unintentional, pleasure or discomfort. Their purpose is to create cinematic music were the listener can be sent out on her own journey. Listening to these songs evokes visions in your head. That's the real beauty of instrumental music like this.
Pilgrimage is the start of a long hike in valleys and mountains. You can hear the headwind and witness the pilgrims struggling forward. Move With You is the EP's single. It describes an uncontrollable feeling, a feeling you can have for another person, for music or a joyful event. The song alters from excitement to silent contemplation and peace of mind, leaves you to the disturbing feeling of not knowing were you are, before it lifts you up and finally bless you with a feeling of euphoria.
Time Makes The Man Go Blind is the sound of time passing by. When you stare yourself blind for all that happens around you. Don't Stop Until It's Over is the heaviest song on the EP, a song that alerts the listener that the record is not over yet
To Much In The Loop, the EP's slowest track, the most indeterminate one. Sometimes it's all just to much and you don't really know were to continue your journey. The EP ends with Hover - the last relief. It's time to lay back, relax and just hover.
