The 25th release of Klangwelt is covered again by Italian artists 1979 who already proved his position on our label as an artist to keep an eye on for the future. His recipe of analog and minimalistic ingredients mixed with the right portion of composition and excitement makes his music both emotional and very functional to play out.
Here is what he has to say about the release in his own words: "The music of "Doors" was conceived nearly one year ago. I wanted to exploit my instruments a little bit more than usual to make this Ep´s sound bigger and fresher!
The main "toys" that i've used were the Nord Rack 2 and the MOOG Minitaur. The chords in "Permissions" come from the Nord Rack which works out a really big part for the melancholy state of the song. For "Escape" I chose the MOOG Minitaur as the main character of the song.. it's really trippy and aggressive at the same time and added that certain dark Moog feeling to the sound! I like it for this reason! The MOOG Minitaur also came to action in the song "Doors" as the big lead i modulated and made me feel really satisfied which its defined structure. It has a really spacious sound and it helped me to build the perfect atmosphere for this one. Additional I used some vintage tools which are my secret weapons all over my productions.
The entire Ep explains somehow in sounds that I think, our lives are characterized by the appearance of many "doors", we only have the possibility to choose which are better for our own pathway. Sometimes "permissions" can condition our choices, sometimes "escape" is the only way to choose."
