
Kenny Knight’s first experiences with creating music didn’t start with a computer or a set of turntables, but rather a saxophone and a guitar. He started playing the sax in the early 80’s, but when he got his first electric guitar in 1985, it became his main musical instrument. “It’s really given me a foundation that’s allowed me to do everything else, it’s been absolutely critical in the way I approach making music for my house label Coastline Recordings.”In the mid 90’s, after becoming increasingly influenced by the sounds of electronic dance music, specifically house music, Kenny invested in a set of turntables.
