Tatem

Tatem, a Detroit native currently living in San Diego is a DJ/producer who is best known for dark moody techno. Origin stories all begin with a piece of gear and back in 1997 it was a Boss DR660. The initial intent to replace an ever absent drummer for his band but soon there after began a focus in electronic music production. Around 2001- 2003 he joined the Detroit techno group SCAN 7 as a remixer and live performance member. The ethos of the Detroit music scene was a powerful influence. Production skills catapulted by mentoring with “old school” and master beat makers from Detroit including a brief time spent as a tech assistant to hometown techno hero, Kevin Saunderson.
