"The idea of making people want to dance to the music I produce, is always the goal that is in my mind while i'm producing a track."An audio engineering student at the University of Hartford, Steve Melnyk is trying to make a name for himself. Starting out producing hip-hop in high school, he gradually became familiar with the electronic dance music scene. It all started with Deadmau5 and his very distinct style and tone. Steve was trying to replicate that style and, the more he became familiar with the production of electronica, he began to see that producing dance music was his thing. Miami Music Week 2011 came around the corner and at this point, Steve knew all the producers and DJ's to look out for. It was at this time he began to play around with house music and produce some more funky vibe tracks. He had the right idea, but still wanted to produce those huge electro club tunes. So, he did. His major influences changed to Steve Angello, Dirty South, Sander van Doorn, Afrojack, Thomas Gold, and many others alike. The fall of 2011 was start of some new tracks that were released. As the year came to a close, Steve knew the best has yet to come. And as 2012 opened up, some newer tracks with a very different production and mastering style came out of the massive project bank from his laptop. A remix of the very popular Dirty South and Thomas Gold song, "Alive" featuring the vocals of Kate Elsworth, was put out. Following that was a preview of an original mix that is still in the works. The rest of 2012 looks very promising as Steve plans to reach out to many more artists to share his talentand to collaborate with some close friends. Stay tuned for more exciting releases this year. And as always, keep partying!!!!!
