RIRKIN learned to mix when he was 10 years old from his older brother who was a hiphop dj in college. Being influenced by underground rap/hip hop, jazz, roots reggae, punk, and ska, rirkin always made sure to keep his ears to the underground and away from the radio. In 2015 he moved to a small town outside of Chicago and immersed himself in the old school house scene working in clubs, attending shows, and renting studio time to further his craft and love for underground roots music.
