In just a few short years, Baltimore native Matt Goldman has embedded himself as a rising star and tastemaker, ready to make a strike in 2014 with slated releases already backed by A-list artists. Receiving high praise from some of the world’s top DJs, he is a preferred opening act of industry giants Tiesto, Avicii, and Alesso, and has played alongside a diverse set of heavy hitters, including Armin Van Buuren, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, and more.Less than a year into his career, Matt landed his first big show, a support slot for Tiesto at SuperGlow, held at the DC Armory. He was offered a residency shortly thereafter, and became a mainstay at Panorama Productions’ prestigious “Glow” events. It wasn’t long before other audiences and artists began to notice his discerning ear too, leading to a European tour, extensive stateside dates, and appearances at renowned festivals such as Identity, Life in Color, and Electro Beach. Most notably, Matt earned an invitation to join Avicii at his groundbreaking Radio City Music Hall show in 2012, and was hand selected by Alesso as direct support for his 2013 North American “Uprising” tour. There’s no secret why his sets are so coveted by the industry’s finest. Blurring the lines between the old school and new school, he is known to skirt popular selections in favor of melody-driven grooves that give depth and a stamp of uniqueness. Matt’s ability to star at both the biggest mega clubs and most respected afterhours venues has become a hallmark of his still budding career. Now coming into his own as a producer, Goldman’s first two tracks are signed to Deep Dish’s respected Yoshitoshi Recordings. Tech-house monster “Six Point Five” gained early support from Tiesto on his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and from UMEK’s “Behind The Iron Curtain” podcast. With the industry's top players behind him and excitement building around his golden touch both in studio and in the booth, it’s clear that Matt Goldman is a can’t-miss talent in 2014.
