Marko Gavrilovich.Born on November 2nd, 1984, in Belgrade, Serbia.“As a kid I really liked music, I started playing block flute at eight, by ten I had moved on to flute. By the age of 14 I had let go of wind instruments and began to listen to more beat-related music.I began to listen to Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang, Tupac then I found heavy metal and found myself listening to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Led Zepelin, Kiss, and the likes; eventually I shifted back to Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and Kraftwerk, all within a year.At age 15 i moved to Dominican Republic with my family. It was only after I found Marco Bailey, Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Christian Smith and Adam Beyer that I bought my first set of turntables. That same year I started playing at bars and private parties spinning records ranging from Marco Carola, Misstress Barbara, Carl Cox, Marco Bailey, Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Christian Smith and Adam Beyer all from a 135 to 140bpm rate.I got intrigued and decided I wanted to take on the challenge of a third turntable; I started playing around at 140bpm and that was it, I had to get my 4th turntable. With this setup I would keep three records playing and one constantly changing to achieve a full four-channel mix with effects unit.I began to produce with Reason 2.0. When I got tired of techno, I began to play electro-techno (Audion, Tiefschwarz, Tony Rohr, Misc, Rother) which landed me a gig to play with Diego Roca, Nathan John and Jerome Pacman. Around this time I came across and Ableton and an Elektribe but only to conclude that Reason is my favorite. My most recent change has been over to minimal techno, playing records from my old favorite producers and new artists like Modeselektor. This has led me to share the stage with international artists like Marc Houle, Alexi delano & Franco Bianco. Now I am producing more than spinning. And I am looking forward to be part of a record label that goes with my style and finally get the chance to play more."
