Producer, guitarist and electronic experimentalist by profession Julian Brody has always had an obsession with a vast range of musical tastes, from abstract jazz to hip hop, contemporary classical music, pop, dub, indie rock, and of course, electronic music for the dance floor.Based in Mexico City, he cut his teeth as a DJ in legendary locations such as La Quiñonera and El Tuttifrutti, eventually earning a residence at Bar Colmillo and also at Salón Pata Negra. He began work on his own productions around 2000, collaborating with artists such as Sanchez Dub, B.N. Loco, Thé Herbal, Sam Sparro, Wako Texas, and Jesse Rogg. He has remixed singles for a wide variety of artists, such as Sam Sparro, Sam Koen (Mandarina Records Mexico) B-Liv (Molacacho Records) Stephanie Salas, Love Grenades, Disco Damage (Kinetika Records, Aztec), and many more. He has recently released a series of EP's and singles through prestigious labels such as Mandarina Records Mexico, Molacacho Records, Four Peas Recordings, Kinetika Records, Pantamuzik, and Modus Vivendi Music (LA).As a DJ, Julian Brody has always sought to bring the party to the party: understanding the mood of the night and its revelers, driving the groove forwards with sets charged by house, minimal, electrohouse, cumbia, mashups and remixes.
